TheHobbyist ("Developer") grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to download, install, and use HomeServer2 ("Software") on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.
HomeServer2 is freeware — it is free of charge to download and use. It is not open source. No source code is provided and no rights beyond those expressly stated here are granted.

The Software is proprietary to the Developer. All rights, title, and interest — including all intellectual property rights — remain exclusively with the Developer. This Agreement does not transfer any ownership rights to you. You receive only the limited usage rights expressly stated herein.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
You assume the entire risk as to the quality, performance, and suitability of the Software for your purposes.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which damages are sought (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if the Developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
HomeServer2 enables sharing of folders and files over a local area network. You are solely and exclusively responsible for:
The PIN-protected upload feature is a basic convenience measure only — it is not a guarantee of security. The Developer makes no representation that any security feature in the Software is adequate for any particular level of protection.
This Software is designed exclusively for use on trusted local networks (home Wi-Fi or LAN). Exposing the Software to the public internet, untrusted networks, or networks shared with unknown parties is done entirely at your own risk. The Developer is not responsible for any consequences of such use, including unauthorized access or data exposure.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developer from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use or misuse of the Software, your violation of this Agreement, or your violation of any rights of any third party.
The Developer may release updates or new versions of the Software at any time without obligation. Updates are subject to this Agreement unless a new agreement is presented. The Developer reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Software at any time without notice and without liability.
This Agreement is effective from the moment you first use the Software and continues until terminated. Your rights terminate automatically and without notice if you fail to comply with any term. Upon termination you must immediately cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising under this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Developer concerning the Software and supersedes all prior representations, understandings, or agreements.
